Awesome Visual Marketing Tips – Blog Roundup

With the enormous amount of blogs that I read (mostly marketing), I’ve found that there’s so much to share in such little time. A roundup post was needed and fast! I’ve gotten inspiration from Donna Merrill (awesome entrepreneurial blogger pal) to do this roundup post while reading her blog. She had top bloggers listed with inspiring posts that she read and HAD to share with her tribe.

I totally get that! I’ll read posts that are incredible or will have awesome tips that I set up for social share right away or bookmark. A roundup post could gather much of the tips I read and consolidate it one place where I can easily share with my audience. SO… that’s what I’ll share with you today.

I’m excited!

Marianne Manthey of Design Your Own Blog has helped shape the way I have my blog. She offers feedback on your site design PLUS she is super friendly. I always find tips, tricks, and deals (be careful on the deals for graphics and images – it’s dangerously addictive) from Marianne. She also has an insanely helpful Facebook group where it’s nothing but extraordinary bloggers who love design and to help others.

If you want feedback on your site, she offers Office Hours the first Friday of the month but if you join the Facebook group or tweet her I know she’d love to answer you.

Louise Myers is another great visual marketing expert where she gives tips and tricks on social media and visual marketing tools. Another reason why I love Louise is because she loves Canva (just like me…). I’ll have to formulate a groupie name for us Canva lovers – hmm… #canvanites, #canvagroupies, #canvarockers, #canvaettes… wow this is bad. ha!

You can check her latest post about tweets on Google. She always has some interesting topics related to visual marketing.

This was fun! I hope I’ve introduced you to some new people and visit them. I would only provide names of people that I know provide quality content and would be worth your while. I know there are so many blogs out there and it’s hard to choose which to read sometimes.

  1. Hi Lillian,

This is an amazing round-up. Thank you for introducing me to other great visual content creators.

I visited Nicky’s post and the tools she has shared are great for creating visual content. I was looking for some GIF creator and I finally got a tool. 🙂

I’ll try implementing Andrea’s tips for e-mail branding. And will later dig into other posts that you’ve included in the round-up.

I can’t resist from sharing this with my Twitter friends. 🙂

    Rohan.

    1. Hi Rohan,

I’m glad you liked this round-up and you’ll visit the other blogs!

I love creating GIFs too, they are a lot of fun.

      Thanks for sharing on Twitter!

      Have a beautiful day,
      Lillian

  2. Lillian, This is such a great idea. Virtual marketing roundup blogs.
I had read Donna Merrill’s article and was thinking of doing a round up of my own with articles I have read, but doing one with images and marketing blogs is another view on it. Lovely idea. Enjoyed it!

    1. Hi Kathryn,

Isn’t Donna great?! I’m glad she inspired you too to create a roundup post. Can’t wait to see it!

      Thanks for stopping by!

      Take care,
      Lillian

  3. Hi Lillian,

So good to know that you were inspired with my round up post and thank you for mentioning that. I am grateful.

What great visual marketing tips each one has! I can sure use these tips, especially for my email.

Andrea has given me loads of food for thought!

I’m going off to visit these wonderful people you have put here and so glad you have done a “round up” because it brings more action to your blog. If you do them every six weeks or so it gains momentum. That and a guest post.

I have a guest scheduled for next week’s post. What happens is she will bring all of her friends over to see it and the sharing goes wild.

    Wishing you all the best,

    -Donna

    1. Hi Donna,

I’m so glad you’ll visit them!

Guest posts are awesome! I’ve had 1 guest post so far on my blog, which I have to say was SUPER incredible from Kirsten Thompson of Sweet Tea & Saving Grace. She had so many great tips on keeping email marketing visually appealing. I’ll have to see if any of these wonderful visual marketing ladies would like to guest post. That would be AMAZING!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
      Lillian

    1. Hey there Louise!

  4. Hi Lilian. As you know I’ve just written a roundup post myself. I came across this post when you left a comment with the link included by CommentLuv.

I edited my post to include yours. Thanks for the recommendations here, I’m really interested in visual content.

  5. A very awesome round up Lillian,
All the blog posts you sheared here are indeed worth sharing, they’re all very interesting indeed and i will take time to visit them one after the other.

    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Rebekah,

Welcome to my blog! I thought it was a brilliant idea on Donna Merrill’s part too and it completely inspired me. Glad it helped!

      Take care,
      Lillian

  6. Hi Lillian, As always your blogs are amazing and I found all of them so informative to learn alot. Thanks for the tips for visual marketing.

  7. Too many entrepreneurs focus on getting their brand right before they start to generate leads. That is exactly the wrong way to go about business. Leads are always more important than your brand, so don’t waste money getting your brand right at the expense of spending that same money to buy new customers.

    1. Hi Scotty,

Thanks for commenting! I completely understand where you’re coming from. I believe that branding can help service providers especially narrow in on the type of people they want to work with. When a potential client finds the service provider with their brand intact, it let’s them know what type of person they will be dealing with or not dealing with at all. You’re almost narrowing down prospects with branding. Leads are great but if the leads are not leads you’ll want to work with then it’s a loss of time and money.

      Take care,
      Lillian

  8. Thank you so much for all this amazing content which will undoubtably help me with my website. I am rather isolated as I am an Australian woman living and trying to do business (twitter and youtube have been blocked) and I know that I need all the help I can get. Once again many thanks for your work.

    1. Glad to hear this is helpful to you Elise! I was unaware of YouTube & Twitter being blocked. Wow!

      Take care,
      Lillian
