Blogging is a crucial tool for any entrepreneur or small business owner. The power of the blog demonstrates authority, empathy, and exposure. You can get more details of the power of blog content from this post. As an entrepreneur, you have lots of content to share from your blog. However, the question is, are you providing content to ALL of your potential customers.
You may have your buyer persona already set and if not check out HubSpot’s article on buyer personas, the more you learn about your buyer or customer the more you can find what type of content they’d like best. Ask in a survey to your mailing list or interview a customer you meet on social media. You’d be surprised with what they might say they like best. Having great content on your blog is awesome but when you can repurpose it into a variety of ways to fascinate your customers is an extraordinary success. What’s incredibly appealing is when you repurpose your content visually to delight your customers.
Here are 7 ways to get that valuable content repurposed:
1. Infographics
List posts or tutorials can be recycled and repurposed into infographics to provide steps or procedures. They are great for sharing especially on Pinterest! Take a look at the infographic below which lends itself as a guide on how to create an infographic in Canva.
You can also use Venngage to create amazing infographics. Be sure to check out the infographic for this post at the end made by my friends at Venngage. They really do make creating infographics easy. I’ll bet you’ll want to share it on Pinterest! You’ll notice you can share your infographic on SlideShare, which is an amazing marketing platform to get business exposure. It also automatically updates to your LinkedIn profile for instant shares. Speaking of LinkedIn SlideShare…
2. LinkedIn SlideShare Presentations
Take your DIY instructions and create a slide deck with Canva to upload to SlideShare. Not sure how to do that? Well whatya know I have a handy tutorial on that right here. You can also upload other documents! Here’s a SlideShare below that I created when I found HubSpot’s visual content marketing stats. I’ve used their stats in other posts then I repurposed the information into a slide deck.
3. Ebooks
Blog post series or themed posts can be bunched into a detailed ebook. How fun and convenient it would be for your readers to have an all-in-one ebook on email marketing, coaching, or super concise theme for the month. That’s completely of value and much appreciated by many people.
Here’s a post on how it can be done in Canva. Can you believe that?! Do the ebook and book cover all in one place. It’s wonderful.
4. Video
Step-by-step tutorials are great in a blog post but it’s even better with a screenshare and a lovely face. Get a video up on YouTube and embed it into a blog post. This also increases SEO with Google. It also instantly shares on Google+ when you have a business account set-up and it shares to Twitter. How nice is that?!
When it comes to YouTube I always rely on my friend, Ileane Smith. She always provides great value with many different tutorials.
5. Podcast/Audio
I know… we’re looking for visuals so what’s up with podcasts and audio. Podcasters are using video along with their audio of their studio and on-scene interviews. Wade Harman from The Relationship Marketing Podcast does an excellent job in providing quality video podcasting. Check him out HERE.
Take an existing blog post and interview an expert on the blog subject. When using audio you can also create awesome social media visuals to enlighten your audience of what to anticipate on the audio or podcast.
Here’s a great example from my friend, Deborah A. Bailey of the Women Entrepreneurs Show.
6. Transcripts/PDF Downloads
This works great when you have a blog post and podcast – create a transcript of the podcast show or worksheet of what was discussed in the post. This would become a PDF download or printable that your audience can refer to or help implement into their business.
⇒ Tip – You can create linkable PDF documents in Canva.

7. Webinars/Live Streaming
Meerkat, Periscope, Blab, Google+ Hangouts, and just plain old webinars can add enormous value to a blog post. Live streaming is hot right now! People love seeing faces, chat interactions, and learning more about the person behind the post with getting answers to their questions in real time. Are you new to the whole live streaming thing? I know for the introvert it may be a bit overwhelming. Believe me I know! However it’s definitely a win-win situation for both the business owner and customer. Take advantage of meeting your audience up close and personal. I’m leaning more towards Blab to give a try. Check out this post about how to get started with Blab.
Repurpose your Content Visually To Delight Your Customers – Slowly but Surely
Having this type of variety of repurposed blog posts can extend the life of your blog and provide extra value to your audience. There’s a lot that can be done but doesn’t have to be done all at once. That’s what’s great about repurposing content! You can have a blog post that’s a year old, as long as the information is still relevant, it can be transformed into something amazing. You’ll keep those old posts FRESH!
Thanks to my friends at Venngage for collaborating with this phenomenal infographic that easily demonstrates how using an infographic can repurpose your content visually to delight your customers!
Bet you’re gonna share this infographic! Go ahead…
Let me know the different ways you like to repurpose your content in the comments. I’d love to hear them!

Lillian
Hi Lillian,
Well you certainly practice what you preach as your blog posts are always so attractive.
I tend to use PDFS to repurpose my content partly because I prefer reading to watching videos, and partly because my skills are in writing rather than producing graphics, however I am trying to make more use of tools such as you suggest.
Thanks for more tools to investigate.

Webinars and livestreaming.
Have to save this for myself, and of course share it on one of my facebook pages.

I’d love to produce some infographics but it’s hard to come up with new content for them.
I really like the idea of transcripts for video and audio presentations and reckon they’d be great to use for getting email sign ups.
Hi Sue,
Infographics can be hard to come up with. If you have some list posts where you can number in blocks, it would be a lot easier to repurpose into an infographic. Take a look at your old posts for inspiration.
Video and audio would be great for email sign ups!
Take care,
Lillian
Thank you Lillian, that’s a great idea. I’ll go and look at some of my list posts.
Hey Lili, love your visual marketing tips! I can definitely see that it’s your strong point!

Hi Lillian,
When it comes to “repurposing” I can never get enough information. I like your ideas you have given and made it so great on the infographic.
Yes, I do repurpose content. I like doing videos and putting a YouTube card on it when it pertains to an older blog post I’ve done. I also like the live streaming I’m doing lately every day and repurpose that into “Themes” that I can market later.
It is a smart way to do things and saves us oodles of time!

Hi Sazia,
So glad you like these tips! I hope you start looking into infographics for your blog. They can be a lot of fun!
Take care,
Lillian
Hi Lillian, Great post. Shared it on Twitter 😉
A few tips. You can add an embed code under your infographic. People that want to embed it on their site, can just copy the code and automatically link to your site. Check out my code on: http://www.raultiru.com/free-stock-photos You can just copy and paste it and adjusting the url and such. If you make it easier for people, they will embed it more often.
Second. Why don’t you make a short video. I can see you like using visual tools. PowToon is very easy to use, I’ve made my video in about 1,5 hours.
See you around!
Hi Raul,
Thanks for sharing on Twitter!
I actually do have an embed code for this infographic however I’m not sure if that was really appealing to some people. Maybe I’ll go ahead and use it anyway!
I love short videos! Powtoon is pretty awesome. I really like Wideo best but it’s very similar.
Thanks for letting me know about the sharing button for Twitter. I did notice that! It’s all fixed now. Thanks!! 🙂
Take care,
Lillian
BTW. Your Twitter share code is not correct. I get this when I hit the button:
